Etihad Airways is once again placing itself at the forefront of in-flight innovation with the arrival of its new purpose-built Airbus 340-500 and the revolutionary Diamond Seat

The new Diamond First Class cabin offers passengers individual Arabic-styled suites with sliding privacy doors. They feature luxury leather upholstered by world-renowned Poltrona Frau.

Each suite is fitted with an extra-large seat that extends to a fully-flat 80-inch bed and is equipped with built-in massager, lumbar support and adjustable headrest.

Seats also contain power sockets for laptops, iPods and other electronic devices. The hotel-style comforts also include an illuminated wardrobe.

Marble-topped bathrooms boast stylish wash basins and a leather fold-down changing room seat, while guests are entertained with a 23-inch LCD personal TV/video system offering 600 hours of on-demand entertainment.

The new Diamond First Class cabin will be fitted onto Etihad's new A340-600 aircraft and will be rolled out over the next two years.
