The Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie Piaget unveiled the new mechanical complication movement designed - Calibres 860P that power the new Piaget Emperador Coussin Large Moon.
The new Piaget Emperador Coussin Large Moon is a tribute to the poetic beauty of this complication. The moonphase keeps track of the phases of the moon and this one will remain in synch with the moon for more than 120 years. Piaget Emperador Coussin Large Moon is a paragon of purity and understatement, featuring a generous 46.5 mm-diameter case with an original and attractive moon-phase display at 6 o’clock.
The moonphase was important to the resurgence of mechanical watchmaking and Piaget honors this fact by unleashing this domineering 12mm indication. The moon-phase indication is provided by a mobile mask that gradually uncovers the white gold moon disc, before covering it up again. This display principle reproduces the natural interplay of the sun and the earth in relation to the moon.
The watch is powered by the new caliber 860P which is housed in a 46.5mm Emperador case. It has a 72-hour power reserve and is available in both white gold and red gold.

You know all watches provide the time of day, giving at least the hour and minute, and usually the second. Most also provide the current date, and often the day of the week as well.
