Shelby Supercars (SSC), makers of the Ultimate Aero supercar, has released recently the details of the 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero supercar which has been updated for the next year. The 2009 edition will attempt to best the world record speed set by the previous model by reaching 270mph. The 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero now has a 15% increase in power and outputs an amazing 1287 hp. The front design of the 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero has been updated, together with the interior of the vehicle.
One of the most important new features of the 2009 SSC Ultimate Aero is the SSC-designed, 1-piece billet aluminum engine block. This makes the unit stronger by bettering its ability to deliver oil to key engine components enabling SSC engineers to turn up the turbo boost. It also features the new AeroBrake rear spoiler system that deploys under braking situations. The of Ultimate Aero price has not been announced yet.
