The new naming nomenclature of the latest Sony Digital SLRs sound more like airliners than cameras. The A230, A330, and A380 from the Alpha series pack a lot of features for the first-time DSLR shooters or for seasoned pros.
The A230 with the 10.2 megapixel sensor and weighs just a hair under 16 ounces so as not to scare the shifters from point-and-shoots. Both the A330 and A380 on the other hand have larger sensors, but every one of these new bodies come with the SteadyShot image stabilization feature. This means that you won’t need to spend a fortune on image-stabilized, hard-to-find Sony lenses.
For SD/SDHC owners, you could use those for the Sony Alpha instead of the proprietary Memory Stick and starting price from $550+.
