Through the weeks we have seen quite a number of enhancements to a Bugatti Veryon so it was barely surprising to find that one would come out covered in gold! We have seen a lot of cars such as the Mercedes Benz enshrined in gold come out and apparently the Bugatti Veyron now has its own version. It was spotted at the Gumball Rally 2009.

The 11th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally (May 1-8, 2009) features a coast to coast road trip of 3000 miles, from Los Angeles to Miami. This Veyron has been wrapped by British decal specialists Raccoon. Roll over to see more shots of the golden beauty.

Gumball 3000 is an annual 3000 mile international rally which takes place on public roads, mainly in Europe. There no official timing, or prizes for reaching check points first. During the rally, many participants have been fined for speeding and other traffic offenses by the police in countries they passed through.

It was founded by Maximillion Cooper in 1999 when he invited 50 of his wealthiest friends to take part in a 6 day, 3000 mile drive around Europe, partying every night. The event started off with a wild party and some of Londons A-list celebrities including Kate Moss, Guy Ritchie, Billy Zane, Chris Eubank and Dani Minogue.
