Steinway Lyngdorf is set to follow up its limited edition Model D Music System with the stunning Model C that promises to deliver an 'unparalleled acoustic experience'. The aesthetic of the Steinway Lyngdorf Model C Music System is no surprise, yet still a visual delight: sleek, slick black towers both monolithic and graceful.
A fully integrated digital music system, the Model C features two floorstanding dipole speakers and twin boundary woofers alongside the iconic pedestal head unit featured in the Model D. The new model features two floor-standing dipole speakers and twin boundary woofers, as well as the same iconic, pedestal head-unit featured with the Model D music system.
There have been some major changes for the Model C however. Comments Peter Lyngdorf, founder of Steinway Lyngdorf, 'Internally, we recognised that our discerning customers, both individuals as well as commercial establishments, would appreciate a music system that would offer the same exceptional sound quality as the Model D Music System but that would be ideal for more intimate, compact listening spaces'.
Steinway claims a frequency response of 250 Hz to 22 kHz for the Model C tower, with the Model C Boundry Woofer filling in the low-end from 20 Hz to 500 Hz. The C towers are rated at 4 Ohms, though don't worry about taxing your amp, as the Model Cs have their own. The mid-range drivers in the tower are a pair of 5.25-inchers. The 1-inch "AMT" or Air Motion Transformer supplies the treble.
