Have you ever wanted to live in a cave? Well know you can. A Missouri couple facing possible foreclosure have put their cave house up for sale on eBay. It's starting bid is $300,000.
This cave house was originally a 17,000 square foot cave used as a roller-rink/concert venue that entertained MC5, Ike and Tina Turner and Ted Nugent. It is situated in Festus, Missouri and it was turned into a unique home by the Sleeper familyin 2003 on ebay. It has all the amenities of modern life such as a kitchen, laundry room including a party room and is 2.80 acres.
This 15,000 square feet cave house is divided into three main chambers.The front chamber houses the main part of the 3-bedroom finished house.The middle chamber holds the laundry room, storage, and a spare bath. The middle chamber made a great party room. 80 feet by 80 feet.The back chamber still has the stage where Ted Nugent, Bob Seger, Ike and Tina Turner, the MC5 and many other bands performed.
Curt Sleeper told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he and his family, like so many others, are victims of the credit crunch. He has been unable to obtain mortgage refinancing for the cave.
"We don't want to move," he said. "But we need to protect our equity. We put everything we had into this home."
So the Sleepers have listed the cave on eBay.

That house is SICK!!!!! I would have the biggest ebb-and-flow hydroponic system EVER in that house. The infrared helicopters can't see through rock! I'd also wear a Batman costume every day, so my neighbors wouldn't even think of 'popping by.'
