Britain-based Princess Yachts plans to deliver the first of its new V78 sport yachts, the latest addition to its V-Class range, which recently passed its first sea test with flying colors. The 78-ft. craft is the first Princess yacht to benefit from resin-infusion moulding, a highly advanced manufacturing system that reduced the ship’s weight by an estimated three tones. Guests are treated to similar levels of luxury in a VIP stateroom forward and two twin berth cabins forward of the galley. Power for the V78 will be from twin MTU or Caterpillar engines from 1675hp up to the biggest C32A option of 1825hp each, which will be good for a maximum speed of about 37 knots.
