Lilypad, The Floating City of the Future of 2100

The Belgian architect who designed the calls' Lilypad 'cities', artificial islands that are home to ecological city in miniature. Will be the 'shelters climate' of the future, when the water level will raise by 88 cm, and no later than 2100 many Pacific islands face the threat of disappearing. The Lylipad says Vincent Callebaut Dailymail to represent an attractive solution and for now only imaginary: built around a lake which collects and processes rain water, are not firm but will move following the ocean currents and tides. Within the islands of climate change, the architect placed three Belgian beaches and even a small mountain range, to allow the inhabitants, unless placed in the whims of the seas, to change scenery and go from the sand forests. And there, Callebaut provides a system of power supply from sources completely clean and renewable power with solar, thermal, wind and tidal originate. To see the plan is to be left without words, like a flying disc, the colorful Lilypad floating explore the seas as a pioneer of the oceans. “Floating Ecopolis for Climate Refugees” will make the transition from design to reality around the year 2100.

I love the concept and the pictures. Has the inventor decided on how they will be built and out of what materials? I think he is spot on with his ideas! great!
