Airbus A380 cabins offer more space to passengers along with wider seats and aisles. A cabin designed around needs of passengers today and tomorrow provides the latest comfort standards – with wider seats and aisles, plus more space regardless of class of ticket. Optional lower deck use for rest areas, business, bar or other amenities can further enhance the A380 travel experience.
An advanced lightning system for an array of moods and atmospheres.
The in-flight entertainment (IFE) system on the A380 is the best available, offering movies, connectivity, audio and games on-demand - all direct to individual liquid crystal displays on seatbacks. A380 passengers benefit from the latest in In-Flight Entertainment systems, developed especially to take advantage of the A380's fibre-optic data distribution network. Outside cameras enable passengers to watch the world go by in real time from various viewpoints.
On the A380, passengers can use their laptop computers and access the internet. Airlines can select options such as the use of mobile phones or a business centre.
The stairs between the upper and lower decks.
On the A380, the upper deck is 70 inches (180cm) wider than competitor aircraft's, while the main deck is up to 20 inches (50cm) wider. The outward sloping cabin walls of the main deck add to the overall sense of spaciousness.
The A380 cabins feature mood lighting thanks to light emitting diodes (LED) capable of simulating day or night. Mood lighting eases the stress of jet lag for long-haul passengers and also helps provide a relaxing ambiance. Cabin lighting is carefully controlled by cabin crew at the touch of a screen making it easily adaptable to the requirements of long-haul travel. Windows are also bigger, providing more natural light and a better view outside the aircraft.
