BombayBrasserie's Curry House - World's Most Expensive Curry at £2,000

BombayBrasserie, a curry house located in central London has launched the Samundari Khazana a.k.a "Seafood Treasure", which is the world's most expensive curry, priced at £2,000 per serving. The most expensive curry has a mix of caviar, sea snails, a whole lobster and even edible GOLD.

Head chef Prahlad Hegde said: "There are still people out there with money to spend and this curry is a real experience."

“The fish and seafood is marinated in chili and tamarind paste, then I’m going to slice truffle over the top to give it a nutty flavour.” he added.

The five tiny shavings of truffle cost £90, while the shimmering, edible gold covering parts is a staggering £1,000 for just 10g. The curry is accompanied by rice flavored with saffron, and is served with a glass of champagne for an sumptuous price tag of $3,281. The curry has been created to coincide with the DVD launch of Oscar-winning flick Slumdog Millionaire, which is set in India.
